You will be researching and blogging your findings about the Aboriginal tribes that lived in that region in the pre-contact period. This project also includes a presentation where you'll be sharing your blog with your classmates. Look below for more details of each part of your project.
I. Blogging:
Look for books in the library, use your textbook in the classroom and/or go to online databases such as ThinkQuest or Kids InfoBitsto find the information about the region you are doing. Skim through the text and mark the parts that you think may have the information. When you're done with skimming, reread the parts carefully. Record the information on the visual organizer provided. Once ready, click on your First Nations regions below to start blogging:
II. Presentation
You will present your wiki as well as your village together. Make sure you:
- keep it short, concise and interesting
- highlight the main points of your project
- use appropriate words
- make eye contact with your audience
- invite questions at the end
- are confident and fluent
